National Museum - Ayala Museum: The Outtakes

Stepping into the National Museum of Fine Arts feels like walking into the heartbeat of the nation.

Standing before the Spoliarium is always a humbling experience. Hearing it expounded by the museum curators gave me a new perspective on the raw emotion. Honestly I believe the technical mastery, and the heavy historical narrative woven in Juan Luna’s masterpiece is overwhelming in person especially seeing how massive the canvas was.

As a multimedia arts practitioner myself, being in the presence of such foundational work is a visceral reminder of why we create. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about documenting the truth of our culture.

I’ll leave the details of the gold collection to your own discovery, but I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself. It’s a masterclass in exhibit design and storytelling.
